Thirteen athletes have been included in the Waikato-Bay of Plenty team to compete at the National Cross Country Championships in Christchurch on 9th August.
The high standard of the athletes from the region is demonstrated by a team that contains a number of medal prospects across the age groups from the Juniors through to Masters. Recent form also indicates the possibility of Waikato-Bay of Plenty athletes taking both senior titles through Camille Buscomb and Aaron Pulford. This is a feat that has not been achieved for many years.
The Waikato-Bay of Plenty team is:
