Information for WBOP team at NZ Track and Field Championships

The Waikato-Bay of Plenty team has been finalised for the NZ track and Field Championships in Dunedin. A full team list can be found here

Important information for those competing is below:

  1. Team mangers will be Murray Green and Paula Cole. They will be staying at Garden Motel, 958 George Street, Dunedin. Phone 034778251. It is about 1k from Logan Park. Contact details for Murray are: 0276216608 and greens.ta@xtra.co.nz and Paula: 0272792299 paulacole@xtra.co.nz

  2. Those selected will need the correct WBOP singlet (not Sec Schools one), these can be bought or hired. Old Style singlets are $40, new style ones $50. To hire a singlet a $20 refundable bond is required. Please email paulacole@xtra.co.nz  to confirm if you require a singlet and which size.

  3. It is requested that athletes unable to run in the relays advise John Tylden (tylden@xtra.co.nz) immediately and for those who have committed that both Management and their team mates expect them to front. Some athletes have stayed an extra day to make up relays teams. A relay practice will be held as part of the open meeting at Porritt on 27th February.

  4. Athlete packs will be with Murray and Paula at Garden Motel on the Thursday night. This is the preferred pick up time. Otherwise they will be in the grandstand Friday morning and you will have to phone a manager to bring your entry pass to the gate. When you arrive at the track on competition day, you must check in with the team managers.

  5. Remember to complete the travel subsidy request form – if you don’t then it will be assumed that you don’t want to receive your travel subsidy payment from AWBOP. These subsidies are being paid direct to athletes this year. A link to the form is here: http://www.athleticswaikatobayofplenty.org.nz/Portals/12/Travel%20Subsidy%20%20Request.pdf
